Fishing of of the coast of Palm Beach County can be very rewarding. Our proximity to the gulf stream keeps our water clear and nutrient rich which attracts a plethora of reef and pelagic species of fish. There are very few places in the world where you can take your boat only a few miles of shore and have the possibility to catch almost any species of migrating or Pelagic fish. Mahi Mahi (Dorado), Kingfish, Wahoo, Sailfish, Marlin and Blackfin Tuna are some of the most frequent Blue Water Fish caught just off of our coast. There are also reports every year of people catching Yellowfin Tuna and the rare Bluefin Tuna just a few miles offshore.
Our near shore reefs also offer an abundance of reef fish such Grouper, Cobia and many species of snapper.
Common fish caught inshore on the flats or in the ICW (intracoastal waterway) are Speckled Sea Trout, Snook, Redfish, Tarpon and Mangrove Snappers.
